System connection

You can connect your camera system in two ways: wirelessly or cabled.

They are identical in image quality and each offer advantages.

1. wireless

This type of installation does not use 'wifi' to transmit the images but instead utilizes the electrical installation in your building. These cables supply both power to the system and transmit the images.

An advantage here is that there is no distortion due to obstacles and walls because the cabling runs through them.

This type of system is suitable up to 500m.

2. cabled

In this type of installation, the recorder supplies the cameras with power using the network cable (Power over Ethernet). The same ethernet cable is used to transmit the images.

This type has advantages when there is no electrical socket near to the cameras.

This type of system is suitable up to 100m.

3. making a choice

Firstly, there is no difference in quality between the two types. The choice really depends on your wishes and particular situation.

It's also worth remembering that the two can be combined.

You would choose for wireless when there are electrical sockets near to where you want the cameras and you can't or don't want to lay network cables.

You would choose for cabled when there are no electrical sockets near to where you want to place the cameras and then the network cable will supply the cameras with power from the recorder.
